On May 13, 2025, The City of Bellmead proudly recognized and congratulated Eythan Thompson, a standout athlete from La Vega High School, for capturing the State Championship in Super Heavy Weight State Championship in Powerlifting in Abilene, TX on March 3, 2025.
In a special proclamation presented by Mayor Pro-Tem Winget, Eythan Thompson was honored for his exceptional strength, determination, and representation of the Bellmead community.
This outstanding achievement brings great pride to the City of Bellmead and serves as a shining example of the excellence and dedication found within La Vega ISD.
