The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the City of Bellmead the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the City’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2024.

This is the sixth consecutive year that Bellmead has earned this prestigious national recognition. The certificate is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment for a government and its management.

The award recognizes governments that go beyond minimum reporting requirements and demonstrate a strong commitment to transparency, full disclosure, and clear communication of financial information to residents, rating agencies, policymakers, and other stakeholders.

Bellmead’s financial report was evaluated by an impartial review panel and judged to meet the high standards of the program, including effectively telling the City’s financial story.

This achievement reflects Bellmead’s ongoing commitment to financial transparency, accountability, and strong stewardship of public resources as the City continues to grow and invest in its future.
