City of Bellmead Showcases Innovative Wastewater Management Solution in Partnership with Ameresco and ECM Holding Group
In a significant demonstration of innovative infrastructure management, the City of Bellmead, in partnership with Ameresco and ECM Holding Group, has successfully rehabilitated a city manhole, showcasing a pioneering approach to wastewater system maintenance. This event, attended by representatives from Belton, Hewitt, Lorena, Mesquite, Woodway, and Robinson, marks a milestone in the city’s commitment to sustainable and cost-effective urban management.
The demonstration highlighted the use of a cutting-edge flexible Polyurea structural lining system. This technology, notable for its quick application and curing time, offers a robust solution to common challenges in sewer system maintenance. By effectively repairing leaks and reducing water infiltration, the system not only promises substantial reductions in wastewater treatment costs but also extends the infrastructure's lifespan by up to 50 years. Moreover, the use of this technology brings the additional benefit of a 10-year material and labor warranty, underscoring the long-term reliability and cost efficiency of the solution.
This initiative aligns with the City of Bellmead’s ongoing efforts to implement forward-thinking and environmentally friendly solutions to infrastructure challenges. The event was not only a testament to the city’s proactive approach to maintaining its essential services but also served as a valuable learning opportunity for neighboring cities.
The City of Bellmead expresses its gratitude to Ameresco and ECM Holding Group for their partnership and to the cities of Belton, Hewitt, Lorena, Mesquite, Woodway, and Robinson for their participation in this pivotal event. Together, we are paving the way for a more sustainable, cost-effective, and resilient future for our communities.
