The Honorable Judge Kevin R. Madison has served as a State Magistrate and Presiding Municipal Judge for over 35 years, bringing extensive judicial, law enforcement, and community service experience to his role. He is currently the Presiding Judge for several municipal courts, including the Liberty Hill, Bruceville-Eddy, Horseshoe Bay, Briarcliff, and Nolanville Municipal Courts of Record.
A recognized leader in municipal judicial education, Judge Madison was elected as President of the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center in 1999, where he oversaw the training of municipal judges and clerks across Texas. He has taught judicial courses for more than two decades.
Judge Madison's dedication to public service extends beyond the courtroom. He has served as a police chief and police officer, earning an Advanced Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. In addition, he is a volunteer firefighter and EMT, serving his community for over 20 years.
He holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Bates School of Law and a B.A. in Psychology with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Thompson Reuters in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026, and holds an AV-Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell for ethics and competence.
