On August 28, 2023, Bellmead PD Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of New Dallas for a disturbance call. Upon arrival, officers ascertained that a female victim had been injured the day before with a deadly weapon and was now receiving more threats to her well-being. During the course of the on-scene investigation it was determined that the suspect, Larry Daniels Jr., was to be placed under an emergency detention order and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. An arrest warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly warrant was later obtained and Daniels was located and arrested on the aforementioned warrant September 13, 2023.
