Financial Transparency

The City of Bellmead is committed to financial transparency. In an effort to provide more usable and understandable information about the City's finances, we have made budgetary and financial data available online.

Debt information is also being provided online and additional information can be found at Transparency by Texas Cities.

Transparency Stars

The Comptroller’s office launched the Transparency Stars program in March 2016 to recognize cities, counties and school districts making strides to greater government transparency by providing easy online access to important financial data.

The City of Bellmead has earned the the Debt ObligationsPublic Pensions, Open Government & Compliance, and Economic Development Transparency Stars.

We were honored to have Texas State Comptroller Kelly Hancock present the Debt Obligations and Public Pensions awards at our Bellmead Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on October 1, 2025.

We are currently working diligently towards earning the remaining two stars in Contracts and Procurement and Traditional Financial Information.

For more information on the program, visit the Comptroller's Transparency Stars website.
