Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)

This report provides a quantitative look at the operating success, financial health, and compliance of the government report units. It includes a balance sheet, a statement of changes in financial position, a statement of revenues and expense, and a comparison of budgeted to actual expenses and revenues.

Federal Single Audits

A Federal Single Audit is an independent review required for local governments and other entities that spend a certain amount of federal funds in a year. The audit examines both the financial statements and the use of federal grant money to ensure compliance with federal regulations. It provides assurance to taxpayers and funding agencies that the City manages federal funds responsibly and in accordance with the law.

Municipal Energy Usage

The City of Bellmead tracks and reports annual consumption and costs for electricity, water, and natural gas at all City-owned facilities in compliance with Texas Government Code §2265.001. This data is published to promote transparency, monitor operating costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency.

Monthly Summary Financial Statements

Summary Financial Statements present the major operating funds of the City on a budget basis which approximates a modified accrual basis of accounting. These statements are prepared as a tool for management to identify any trends that need to be addressed.

Unclaimed Property List

The City of Bellmead holds various types of unclaimed property that is presumed abandoned and subject to Title VI Unclaimed Property Chapter 76 of the Texas Property Code Pursuant to Section 76.201. The City publishes the names of people or businesses that the City holds unclaimed property for. For questions regarding this list or process, contact the Finance Department at 254-799-2436.
